Carrie Bakken is currently the Executive Director of the student-centered Avalon School in Saint Paul, Minnesota—where a school designed and run by a team teachers working in close partnership with the students and community they serve (i.e. a teacher-powered schools).

She also works part-time at Education Evolving, supporting our Minnesota network of teacher-powered schools practicing student-centered learning, shared power, and collaborative leadership.
