Education Evolving convenes a council of practitioners who share our values around student-centered learning. While all members of the group are committed to student-centered learning, they will be at different phases and stages of implementation.

Purpose

The primary purpose of the Council is to provide input into Education Evolving’s legislative agenda and other activities in the service of student-centered learning. Another purpose is to provide a networking opportunity for members of the Council.

Meetings

The Council meets two times per year:

• Once in the spring, after the legislative session, where the focus is to provide an overview of what happened during the session and hear from Council members on barriers they faced during the academic year. EE will use this information to do further research during the summer and might include some of the items in its policy agenda for the next session.
• Once in the late fall, where the focus is on developing and refining EE’s legislative agenda and policy priorities for the upcoming session.
